This is a portrait of Joëlle done while she was posing for the painting "No Doll" ( click to zoom in ).
We organized a photo shooting spanning over two days, in which we tried to find a pose conveying the key elements that I had in mind for the painting.
It was no simple task. I needed the body language to imply a lot about the meaning, while the character was to be out of balance. For that purpose, we made most of the shooting with one high heel shoe on, and the other foot bare, constraining the wrists with strings hanging from the studio ceiling.
